Machining Capabilities
cnc Milling
Our vertical machining centers are able to hold tolerances of +/- 0.0005″ for your precision components. Standard operations are 3-axis, with 4+ on the horizon as we continue to grow. Our production mill boasts 20HP for heavy cuts, high-speed machining for efficient operations and rigid tapping for threading. The low volume mill has a 10,000 rpm spindle and high-speed machining processor with intuitive converstaional programming for reduced setup times.
CNC Turning
The lathe department is equipped with multiple CNC turning centers with various capabilities. The high volume production machine is complete with sub-spindle, bar feeder and live tooling which means fewer operations and faster cycle times. This translates to reduced part costs and increased capacity. The low volume workhorse is equipped with a 10″ 3-jaw chuck, large spindle bore capacity and a tailstock for added support.
Prototyping
Specializing in one-off components, Legacy Machining is familiar with the need for prototypes. We are able to provide design feedback for reduced component cost if needed, or design recommendations for durability. We understand each customer has unique needs and Legacy Machining is prepared to listen.
